For 40+ years Lonny & Tammy Goodwin have been a hard-working, tax-paying South Arkansan family. Throughout this
time, they have pursued God's will in earnest, not only in farming, business and nursing, but also in charitable
Christian outreach, locally and around the world. Lonny is a loving family man with his wife Tammy of 43 years,
daughter, Loni Taylor PhD, DVM, son-in-law Christopher Taylor, PE and treasured grandchildren Adeline & Asher.
Lonny is a naturalized Arkansan, who was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas. Tammy was born in Hot Springs, met
and married Lonny while her family lived in Texas. Lonny & Tammy moved to Arkansas in 1984 to work with her family
in the timber industry. From planting pine saplings in the cold of winter to thinning the plantations in the heat
of summer, Lonny and Tammy eventually purchased a 64,000-capacity broiler operation in Hope, which they
owned/operated for 14 years. During this time Tammy pursued and achieved a BSN and eventually an MSN in Nursing
Education and Administration through UAMS at UA Hope.
Lonny and Tammy want voters to know the fuel system skills Lonny acquired in an entry level job so many years ago
are the foundation of Lonny Goodwin Co. Inc., and the years Tammy spent growing chickens, while becoming a nurse
have enabled them to self-support in 20+ mission trips to Liberia, West Africa and 10 trips to Central America.
They choose to share this here not to be boastful, but to share their heart and understanding of God's grace in all
things. It is this understanding that has caused them to step out by faith in pursuit of the fourth district Arkansas
state senate seat & Arkansas 88th district state representative seat.
It is growing increasingly obvious that our country, as well as our state and her people are being overlooked and
disregarded when it comes to the voting trends and decisions of most traditional politicians. The motives of many
politicians are in response to owed allegiances. As Libertarians, & completely self-supporting candidates, Lonny's
allegiance as district #4 senator, and Tammy's as district #88 representative would be to the people of their districts
and their expressed desires for this region of southwest Arkansas.
