WE NEED YOUR HELP! THE ARKANSAS DEPARTMENT ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY IS IN OVERREACH WITH
A SERVICE STATION IN MENA AR. THEY ARE MISAPPLYING STATUTES AND DENYING TRUST FUND
ELIGIBILITY WITH GROSS ABUSE OF THE POWER MADE AVAILABLE BY THEIR ROLE WITHIN THE AGENCY.
ON MONDAY, JUNE 29TH THEY PLAN TO TAKE CONTROL BY FORCIBALLY REMOVING MY HUSBAND FROM
THE JOB AT THIS FACILITY. WE HAVE MADE THE CITY OFFICIALS, AND REGIONAL ELECTED OFFICALS
AWARE OF THIS CIRCUMSTANCE AND HAVE THEIR SUPPORT IN PURSUIT OF BRINGING THEIR ABUSE TO
LIGHT.
A brief summary of who we are...
Since 2004 my husband (Lonny Goodwin) and I have owned a fuel systems industry service company in
southwest Arkansas. My husband has been a 'gas pump mechanic' in our region since 1989, and
contractor since 2004, and I am a nurse educator of 20+ years, now retired. We are also self-supporting
missionaries to Liberia, West Africa since 2010. Lonny, has always been outspoken and straightforward
in all his business interactions. His reputation for being an advocate of the small service station
owner/operator and standing for truth is well known in our region and rightly earned.
A major factor within our industry's scope of focus is environmental and therefore state regulatory
agencies are a daily part of the industry. The following events involve Arkansas Department of
Environmental Quality (ADEQ) and certain agency employees. Throughout the years we have had
problems with ADEQ badgering our customers through abusive interpretation of regulations that are
obviously with nefarious intent. Many of these actions have resulted in customers being extremely
penalized with fines or their fuel location being placed out of service. Many times my husband has stood
strong against their actions and prevailed.
We have a 200-acre farm with company office and warehouse here at Saratoga. They have recently
illegally come on our property 3 times, and through FOIA-acquired (by us) internal documents, we have
ADEQ email -documented evidence of their false creation and acted upon complaints by the upper
management within the agency. We also have store owner/operators willing to make statement of
approach by certain ADEQ agency inspectors who have insisted they switch contractor providers based
on false accusations. Ironically, the contractors they recommend (which is an illegal act by ADEQ in
itself) are the same every time. There are good inspectors as well, who are standing against these gross
wrongs being done.
Through the years several of our customers have had documentable harassment, and financial burden
where imposition with wrong application of statutes is embarrassingly intentional on the part of ADEQ -
to which several ethical ADEQ employees can attest.
Given all the circumstances, Lonny knew, at this point, we had to become more active in righting this
decades-long abuse of governmental power by ADEQ (toward store owners and upright contractors) in
our industry by the push to fine/harass Lonny Goodwin, out of business as an ADEQ licensed contractor.
We will be glad to provide resume and other documentation of our upright practice within this industry,
etc. Lonny has also recently become an Arkansas district #4 state senate candidate (independent) in true
pursuit of being a voice in this and other examples of governmental overreach to the detriment of our
constitutional rights.
We have enlisted legal counsel over the pursuit of ADEQ attempted entrapment and conspiracy to
defraud us, and are fairly certain with the internal email, and our audio and literal evidence we will be
victorious. We plan to continue our pursuit of truth and justice in these circumstances. I tell you this
story because I see so much that is SO wrong and Lonny is standing up and fighting so hard for what is
right.
